Frequently Asked Questions

Do you need to hook up to my house for power or water?

Nope! Our grooming trailer is fully self-contained and equipped with its own water supply and generator for power. We won’t need to plug into your home or use your utilities. The only thing we need is a large, level area in front of your home that’s clear of cars, garbage cans, or other obstructions so we can safely park our truck and trailer.

Why is mobile grooming more expensive than a salon?

Mobile grooming offers a personalized, one-on-one experience right at your doorstep—saving you time and reducing stress for your pet. Our prices reflect the convenience of house-call service, as well as the added costs of operating a fully equipped mobile salon, including fuel, vehicle maintenance, one-on-one care, and more. Each appointment is tailored to your pet’s individual needs, with no wait times or distractions from other animals. It’s a premium service designed for comfort, quality, and convenience.

Do you groom cats?

Yes! We do offer cat grooming.

Can you groom any dog?

At this time, we do not groom corded breeds. Also, due to the trailer setup, we have a weight limit of 150 pounds.

Can I stay with my pet during their grooming session?

Due to insurance liability, we’re not able to allow pet parents inside the mobile unit during grooming appointments. However, we are happy to give you a quick tour of the salon before your pet’s appointment begins.

Can I check on my pet during their groom?

For your pet’s safety, we kindly ask that you avoid knocking or checking in during the grooming session. Sudden distractions—especially seeing or hearing their pet parent—can make some pets overly excited or anxious, which increases the risk of injury during grooming. Most dogs stay calmer and more focused in a quiet, one-on-one environment.

You are always welcome to call or text if you want to check on your pet, or have other questions after their appointment starts. Likewise, if we have any questions or concerns about your pet, we’ll contact you right away. Your pet’s well-being is our top priority.

Do you sedate dogs?

No, we do not sedate pets. We will accept a pet for grooming that has been given a prescription sedative, as long as it was prescribed to that pet by a licensed veterinarian. The pet must be awake and able to walk and stand on their own. We do NOT groom fully sedated (unconscious) pets.

Can I provide my own shampoo?

We use a variety of professional, high-quality shampoos and conditioners tailored to different coat types and skin needs—including options for sensitive skin, shedding, and more. If your pet has a specific, veterinarian-prescribed shampoo, we’re happy to use it during their appointment. Please just bring it along and let us know if there are any special instructions from your vet.

If you or your pet have any allergies or sensitivities to scents or ingredients, please let us know in advance. We’ll make sure to choose products that are safe and gentle for everyone in your home.

Why is your price a range? What factors affect where my dog might fall in the price range?

Each breed has a general price range, but the final cost can vary based on several factors—like coat condition, size, haircut style, and your pet’s behavior during grooming. For mixed breeds, we base pricing on the coat type and grooming needs they most closely resemble. While we can often give a smaller, more accurate range once we see your pet in person, some things (like temperament or matting) may not be fully known until we begin working with them.

We’ll always do our best to provide a clear estimate before grooming starts. After your pet’s first appointment, we’ll have a better understanding of their individual needs and can set a consistent price for future visits.
